Grumman TBM Avengers

June 20-22, 2025 | Willow Run Airport | Ypsilanti, MI

The Grumman TBM Avenger entered combat service in the latter part of WWII, as a variant of the Grumman TBF Torpedo Bomber. The Avenger was an incredibly effective aircraft in attacking submarines during the World War II, and would continue on in military service into the 1960s.

Thunder Over Michigan is thrilled to be planning the World’s Largest Gathering of Avengers to celebrate this historic and iconic aircraft.
