Your safety and enjoyment at the air show is a priority.  To better assist you in planning and preparation, we’ve composed a list of answers to the most commonly asked questions.

Security

May I bring ice to the event?
No, you may not bring ice into the show grounds except for medical necessary items or infant items.

May I bring a cooler?
Coolers are only allowed in the drive up parking area or on the grass area for General Admission. Coolers cannot go into ground display area.

I have a CCW, can I carry on airport property?
You are NOT allowed to have any weapons onsite even if you have a CCW. Any weapons will be confiscated.

What convenience items are permitted?
Chairs, strollers, cameras, blankets and handheld umbrellas ARE permitted.

Can I leave the show and then re-enter?
Yes, you may exit the show and re-enter. You must show your tickets to staff upon reentry.

Is there a list of Restricted Items?
Yes. Please review the Entry Restrictions for more information.

Is smoking allowed?
Any form of smoking (cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaping, marijuana etc) is prohibited on the grounds as well as in your vehicle.

What if I get hurt during the show?
Notify an Air Show worker or security and they will contact a mobile medical team.

What should I do if I lose my child at the show?
Notify an Air Show worker or security and they will contact a mobile medical team.The   Air Show has Code Adam in place during the show. Please provide appropriate parties details about the child to help in the process.

Show

Is the Show the same both Saturday and Sunday?
The show is scheduled the same both days. However, weather could impact the schedule. All performers are subject to change.

Do children need a general admission ticket to the show?
Children 15 and under are free. Adults (16+) are required to have a ticket.

Can I receive a refund for my tickets?
No. Once a ticket is purchased, there are no refunds. The Show is a primary fundraiser for the Yankee Air Museum.

Are there food and beverage options?
Yes there will be on-site food and beverage options.

Are there airplanes giving rides?
The Yankee Air Museum's B-17 Yankee Lady, B-25 Rosie’s Reply, & UH-1H Huey Greyhound are giving rides. For more information please click here.

What happens if it rains?
Unless the weather is severe, we will fly as much of the show as is safe and possible.

What should I wear to the show?
We recommend you wear comfortable shoes; attending the show barefoot is not advised. There may be a possibility of soft, wet, and muddy surfaces. Please dress accordingly; it is a Michigan summer.

Is there shade?
The show is under an open sky. You are encouraged to bring hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and personal umbrellas. No portable awnings or tents are permitted.

Are there restrooms?
Portable restrooms (including handicap portable restrooms) and sanitation stations will be available.

Do I need to print my ticket?
If possible, please print off your ticket(s) and have them readily available.

Parking

What time does the Gate open?
Gates open at 8:00am.

Are oversized vehicles or large recreational vehicles (RV, Motorhome, fifth wheel, etc) allowed?
Unfortunately, due to the size of the airport, these vehicles are not allowed on site.

Riding your motorcycle to the Show?
Please bring your own appropriate pad, etc. to park on. All parking is on grass. Please be mindful…

Foreign Object Debris (FOD)

FOD is any loose debris that can be hazardous if ingested or accelerated by an aircraft engine. FOD can cause major damage to aircraft and can also pose a projectile hazard to spectators. Please pick up after yourself. Whatever you carry in, please carry out.
